FORT WORTH, Texas (April 28, 2026) – Texas Motor Speedway will play host to the fifth tripleheader of the season, with all three NASCAR national series competing during the venue’s 30th anniversary season.

The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series will set the stage for Sunday’s marquee WÜRTH 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY Cup Series race (2:30 p.m. CT, TV: FS1, FOX One, Radio: PRN, SiriusXM) with spotlight races across the opening two days of the weekend.

The CRAFTSMAN Truck Series opens the weekend with Friday evening’s SpeedyCash.com 250 (7 p.m. CT, TV: FS1, FOX One, Radio: NASCAR Radio Network, SiriusXM), followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 on Saturday afternoon (2:30 p.m. CT, TV: CW, Radio: PRN, SiriusXM).

This will mark the second and final stop in the Lone Star State for the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (NOAPS), which both competed earlier this season at Circuit of The Americas in Austin. For the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS), this represents its lone Texas appearance on the season.

Here’s the “Fast Five” storylines for the NCTS SpeedyCash.com 250 and NOAPS Andy’s Frozen Custard 340:

1) Kyle Busch, who holds the Texas Motor Speedway record for most NASCAR national series wins with 20, returns with another piece of track history within reach in Friday night’s SpeedyCash.com 250.

He currently is tied with Todd Bodine for the most career NCTS wins at TMS with six and another would give him sole possession of the mark. Busch, who will be driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, has only made four NCTS starts at Texas since 2014, but the results have been flawless.

Busch has been a perfect 4-for-4 with victories in 2014, ’19, ’20 and ’24, the latter coming with Spire Motorsports.

That will be the start of his double-duty weekend as Busch also returns to his NASCAR Cup Series seat in the No. 8 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. He is looking to snap a 103-race winless streak – dating to his 2023 victory at World Wide Technology Raceway – and returns to a track where he is a four-time Cup Series winner. Another NCS win would break a tie with Carl Edwards for sole possession of second all-time at TMS.

2) Haas Factory Team driver Sheldon Creed will be chasing his third consecutive $100,000 bonus payday, with the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 serving as the finale of the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Dash 4 Cash competition.

The top four finishers from the previous race – Talladega – are eligible for the prize, which consists of Creed, race winner Corey Day of Hendrick Motorsports, Brent Crews of Joe Gibbs Racing and Sammie Smith of JR Motorsports.

The four-race program began with a qualifier at Rockingham Speedway on April 4 to determine eligibility for the opening payout at Bristol Motor Speedway the following week.

Justin Allgaier of JR Motorsports won the opening round with the top four finishers being eligible for the next stop at Kansas Speedway on April 18. Creed’s runner-up effort at Kansas netted him the $100,000 as the highest eligible finisher, and his win this past weekend at Talladega Superspeedway secured another six-figure payday heading into Texas.

3) Six fulltime NASCAR Cup Series drivers will be taking part in the weekend’s support series races, adding notable star power to both fields.

Kyle Larson headlines the trio competing in Saturday’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Andy’s Frozen Custard 340, as he looks to defend last season’s win in the No. 88 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports. Austin Dillon will be making his first series start at TMS since 2017 in the No. 3 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing. He has finished among the top 10 in all 11 career starts, including six among the top five. Connor Zilisch will be making his first series start at TMS in the No. 1 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports. He missed last year’s race during his championship-winning season due to a back injury sustained at Talladega.

Busch will be joined in Friday night’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 250 by Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar. Chastain, driving the No. 45 Chevrolet for Niece Motorsports, will be making his 11th NCTS start at Texas and first since 2022. He owns three top-10 finishes, including a best of seventh in 2019. Hocevar, driving the No. 77 Chevrolet for Spire Motorsports, will be making his second consecutive start and fifth overall at TMS. He has a 2023 victory, along with a fourth-place finish the previous season, in those four starts.

4) Hendrick Motorsports invested in 20-year-old development driver Corey Day with the organization’s first full-time NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series entry in two decades – and the move is already producing rich dividends.

Day captured his first O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victory Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway in just his 22nd series start, highlighting an outstanding start to his first full-time season as he moved to fourth in series standings. He has produced nine top-10 finishes in his first 11 starts, including four among the top five, and has led 191 laps. He also earned his first series pole position earlier this month at Rockingham.

The young dirt track phenom caught the eye of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and fellow Californian Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports a few years ago while racing in a dirt midget and also as a former full-time driver in High Limit Racing, the series co-owned by Larson. Larson got the ear of HMS Vice Chairman and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon, and the organization signed Day to a multi-year development contract at 19.

Day’s transition to asphalt began in earnest last season when he made 11 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts, with a pair of top-10 finishes, and nine NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts, highlighted by two top-five efforts and a pole position. He made four previous NCTS starts in 2024, with steady progression leading into last season’s expanded schedule.

5) Toni Breidinger, the first Arab-American woman to compete in NASCAR, will be looking to make her first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series start of the season in the SpeedyCash.com 250. She has a partial eight-race schedule in the No. 27 Chevrolet for Rackley W.A.R., which included the season opener at Daytona where she did not qualify for the race.

Breidinger competed full-time with TRICON Garage in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series last season, finishing 23rd in the championship. She made her lone start at TMS last season, starting 21st and finishing 26th.

The 26-year-old Californian has made 29 NCTS career starts, with a best finish of 15th coming at Kansas in 2023, as she continues to build experience at the national series level.
