FORT WORTH, Texas (February 28, 2019)

Texas Motor Speedway announced three long-time partners signed on to extend those relationships during its annual Media Day event held Wednesday at the renowned motorsports facility.

The Dallas Morning News, WinStar World Casino and Resort, and 95.9 The Ranch will remain in their current roles with TMS throughout these multi-year partnerships.

“All business is good business, but one of the things we like best is finding a partner who meshes with us on a level where they want to keep coming back,” Texas Motor Speedway President/GM Eddie Gossage said. “In all sports, but especially in racing, partners mean everything. If we can provide them an experience and a relationship that makes them want to sign with us again and again, that makes us feel like we’re doing a lot of things right. Our relationships with The Dallas Morning News, WinStar, and 95.9 The Ranch are ones that mean a lot to both us and our fans.”

Here's a brief look at those relationships:

  • The Dallas Morning News, based in Dallas, Texas, signed a multi-year entitlement extension for Qualifying Days during the spring NASCAR weekend. SportsDay Qualifying Day powered by The Dallas Morning News has become synonymous with the spring weekend since the early days of the partnership, which dates to 2005. SportsDay Qualifying Day powered by The Dallas Morning News is March 29 and March 30 this year, awarding pole awards to drivers in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Dallas Morning News is an award-winning daily serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 1885. It’s one of the 20 largest paid circulations in the United States.
  • WinStar World Casino and Resort, owned by the Chickasaw Nation and located in Thackerville, Okla., signed a multi-year renewal that will include brand visibility throughout the property and is the main affiliated partner with the Lone Star Circle Reserved Camping outside Turn 3 of Texas Motor Speedway. Connected to “The Great American Speedway” since 2006 through various race entitlements, on-site signage, and its sponsorship of the reserved campgrounds, WinStar also partners with TMS to offer its clients unique VIP experiences during race weekends. With more than 600,000 square feet of gaming WinStar World Casino and Resort is the largest casino in the world. It is home to the 1,395-room WinStar World Casino Hotel and the 3,500-seat Global Event Center.
  • KFWR 95.9 The Ranch, signed a three-year extension to remain the “Official Broadcast Partner of Texas Motor Speedway.” The Ranch, a Fort Worth-based Texas Country radio station, took over official broadcast duties three years ago, broadcasting every race during the track’s NASCAR and INDYCAR weekends. The Ranch also has exclusive local access to every race winner shortly after he leaves Victory Lane at No Limits, Texas. KFWR is an FM station with studios in downtown Fort Worth. It upgraded its signal in 2013 from 80 kW to 100 kW, expanding its reach throughout North Texas.

The Texas Motor Speedway season opens March 29-31 with the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 NASCAR tripleheader. The race weekend features the Gander Outdoors Truck Series Vankor 350 on Friday, March 29; the Xfinity Series My Bariatric Solutions 300 on Saturday, March 30; and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 on Sunday, March 31.
