“Hearts in High Gear is more than a night of entertainment – it’s a chance to change lives,” SCC-Texas Executive Director Marissa Chaney said. “With an unforgettable evening at Texas Motor Speedway, headlined by an acoustic performance from Josh Weathers, we’re bringing the community together to support children with critical needs and to create a lasting impact.”
Known for his top tracks “Who’s Hanging the Moon,” “Life Still Happens” and “Getting Over You,” Weathers will showcase his once-in-a-generation voice and signature blend of country, soul, funk, gospel and rock ‘n’ roll during an exclusive acoustic set at “The Great American Speedway.”
Beyond the stage, Weathers’ impact extends even further. In 2014-15, Weathers and his wife Kady launched a mission to combat human trafficking and provide refuge for children in India and El Salvador. Following the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country in 2025, Weathers and his wife organized a virtual fundraiser concert that raised more than $500,000.
All event proceeds benefit SCC-Texas, which has distributed more than $12.6 million in funding to non-profit organizations supporting children in need in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties since 1997. Distributed funds are raised through special events like Hearts in High Gear throughout each year.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the acoustic performance begins at 8 p.m. For more information or to discuss sponsorship opportunities, please contact SCC-Texas Executive Director Marissa Chaney at [email protected].
