Veteran sports marketing executive Steve Lowe has been named Vice President of Marketing for Texas Motor Speedway.

Lowe joins Texas Motor Speedway after serving as Director of Marketing & Content for the relaunch of the XFL Arlington Renegades in 2023. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club of the Canadian Football League where he began his career as media coordinator before rising through the ranks to Senior Director, Fan Experience, Brand & Content for both the CFL team as well as Forge FC Soccer. He will manage a department whose responsibilities include marketing, social media, digital content and graphic design for the Texas-based Speedway Motorsports facility.

"I am absolutely elated to join the team at Texas Motor Speedway and the Speedway Motorsports group as VP of Marketing,” said Lowe. “It's an incredible opportunity to drive forward-thinking marketing strategies and ignite unprecedented levels of fan engagement in motorsports.   Teaming up with such an exceptional group of peers and colleagues is a blessing, and I'm eager to harness our collective passion in connecting new fans and old with a world class racing experience"

Among the various responsibilities in his role with the Arlington Renegades, Lowe relaunched the brand through grassroots marketing and multi-platform marketing campaigns, oversaw the relaunch of all team social media channels, executed 50+ in-market activations and was responsible for establishing and leading the Renegades game-day and event experience.

“Steve brings a wealth of experience in the sports and entertainment industry to Texas Motor Speedway and Speedway Motorsports,” said Texas Motor Speedway Executive Vice President & General Manager Mark Faber. “His experience in marketing strategies, fan engagement and brand strategy will help lead Texas Motor Speedway into the next phase of growth and development of motorsports and entertainment events.”

Lowe’s tenure as Senior Director with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats included responsibilities as varied as brand strategy and awareness, brand identity, revenue generation, gameday presentation and brand experience, advertising and communication content, and management and leadership for more than 12 years.

Lowe and his wife, Sarah, have a son and a daughter, Everett and Scarlett. He begins his new position at Texas Motor Speedway on Jan. 8.
