FORT WORTH, Texas (August 14, 2025) – CBS Texas News President and General Manager  Raquel Amparo and FC Dallas Vice President of Broadcasting, Communications & Media Gina Miller will co-host the Geared for Greatness event benefiting Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, Sept. 12, at The Rayleigh Underground in Irving.

Amparo and Miller will lead the three-hour networking breakfast and forum that celebrates female trailblazers in male-dominated industries beginning at 10 a.m. The event also includes bites, bubbles, door prizes and giveaways along with the success stories of several special guests.

Amparo has been president and general manager of CBS News and Stations’ local businesses in DFW, including KTVT-TV (CBS 11), KTXA-TV (TXA 21), CBSN Dallas-Fort Worth and CBSDFW.com, since 2021. She previously was an award-winning television journalist who held several executive television newsroom positions in her rise to her current role.

Miller is an award-winning broadcast journalist who also has been in her current position with the Major League Soccer franchise FC Dallas since 2016. She possesses more than two decades of sports media experiences, having served as a sportscaster in Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, Knoxville and Guam.

Miller also will lead a panel discussion that includes LaDondra Wilson, vice president of social responsibility with the WNBA’s Dallas Wings; Kendra Jacobs, chief marketing officer at High Limits Racing; and Julie Dobbs, co-owner of “The Mom Game” podcast.

The event will be highlighted by a “fireside chat” with Pam Minick, co-owner of Billy Bob’s Texas and Pro Rodeo Hall of Famer, and Susan Maddox, owner of the American Hat Co. and The Best Hat Store.

All event proceeds benefit SCC-Texas, which has distributed more than $12.4 million in funding to non-profit organizations supporting children in need in Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties since 1997. Distributed funds are raised through special events like Geared for Greatness throughout each year.
