About Texas Motor Speedway & NASCAR at COTA

Two of the world’s largest and most spectacular motorsports venues, Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) and Circuit of the Americas (COTA) are known for a legacy of thrilling racing action, family-friendly entertainment, and remarkable concerts.

Both world-class facilities play host to NASCAR racing and all the stars of NASCAR. Hosting these events brings in thousands of fans from around the GLOBE, making memories that last a lifetime.

Role Expectations

TMS and NASCAR at COTA both strive to provide college students internships with well-rounded digital marketing, advertising, and promotional experience.

Adding to the already successful internship programs, both facilities are launching the College Ambassador program. Upon completion of this program, Ambassadors will have earned course credit, networking opportunities, and invaluable experience toward furthering career goals in a multitude of industries. This role will require the student to be a part of and participate in both NASCAR event weekends;

NASCAR at COTA – March 22, 23, 24

NASCAR at TMS – April 12, 13, 14

The College Ambassador Program is in its infant stage so we are open to additional ideas on creating this program, ideation from young minds is encouraged.

Hours

  • Ambassador Program will run from January 1 – May 1
  • 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. on the following race dates: COTA (March 23-24, 2024), Texas (April 12-14, 2024)
  • Ambassadors must be able to attend bi-weekly Zoom meetings

Job Responsibilities

  • Post on social media to raise awareness of events at Texas Motor Speedway & NASCAR at COTA
  • Actively participate in the planning and executing of all community events by promoting student ticket offers
  • Identify and build relationships with key student groups on campus
  • Answer questions and provide information to students
  • Uphold brand standards
  • Create monthly recaps

Skills and Qualifications

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Communication, or a similar field
  • Experience working with social media
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to provide own transportation
  • Organized, detail-oriented
  • Creative thinker
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Can manage projects from start to finish

Physical Demands

  • Ambassadors must be able to lift/and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/and or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ambassadors must also be able to be on their feet for long days, but they are fun days
