FORT WORTH, Texas (November 6, 2015) – Two-time defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Matt Crafton earned the pole during Service King Qualifying Days for tonight’s WinStar World Casino & Resort 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.
>Crafton (No. 88 Damp Rid/Menards Toyota) ran a lap of 181.397 miles per hour in the second and final round of knock-out qualifying for his third pole of the season and 10th of his career. It also was his third career pole at Texas Motor Speedway.
The veteran Crafton was followed by four rookies, including championship leader Erik Jones, to round out the top five in the qualifying session. Spencer Gallagher (No. 23 Allegiant Chevrolet) was second at 180.953 mph, Daniel Hemric (No. 14 California Clean Power Chevrolet) third at 180.409 mph, Brandon Jones (No. 33 Russell Refrigeration Products Chevrolet) fourth at 180.391 mph and Jones (No. 4 Toyota Toyota) fifth at 180.030 mph.
Crafton will look to become the first polesitter to win a truck series race at Texas Motor Speedway since Todd Bodine in 2007 and complete a season sweep. He won the WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 in June at Texas Motor Speedway.
The 32-truck field will return at 7:30 p.m. tonight for the running of the WinStar World Casino & Resort 350 (TV: FOX Sports 1; Radio: KRLD-FM 105.3 The Fan, MRN, SiriusXM). Tickets are available by visiting the Gate 4 ticket booth.
