ANNUAL ”˜GIFT OF LIGHTS’ DISPLAY OPEN THROUGH DEC. 31
FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 24, 2015) - Texas Motor Speedway will open its gates to the public beginning Thanksgiving Day for the annual "Gift of Lights" drive-through holiday lighting spectacular at the world renowned motorsports facility.
The “Gift of Lights” is a two-mile drive through the speedway that features over 200 lighted displays with more than two million LED lights. Once again, this holiday festival is brought to Dallas/Fort Worth by Christmas by Zenith, the premier provider of holiday displays.
The "Gift of Lights" will be open Thanksgiving Day from 6-10 p.m. CT and the display will be open during that timeframe seven days a week through Dec. 31.
"The 'Gift of Lights' has become a popular holiday family experience and we are thrilled to once again transform Texas Motor Speedway into a holiday wonderland," Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. "To see Texas' largest sporting venue turn into an amazing display of lights is truly a unique experience."
A new highlight this year will be Santa’s Village, where cars will be directed to visit at the conclusion of their trip through the “Gift of Lights.” The 22,000-square foot village, located in the TMS infield, will feature the opportunity to get a photo with Santa Claus, refreshments and the opportunity to ride a miniature train in addition to other great family activities.
"Gift of Lights" is partnering this year with Speedway Children's Charities-Texas Chapter, DFW Toys for Tots, Ronald McDonald House, Scottish Rite Hospital and Christmas Wish. A portion of the proceeds of each ticket sold will benefit these organizations.
"All of the 'Gift of Lights' displays are custom made by our team of lighting experts at Christmas by Zenith," Christmas by Zenith President Allan Rodger said. "We have created an array of unique holiday designs that are both energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing."
Tickets will be available at the gate for $25 per vehicle or $20 if guests bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. Tickets also can be purchased in advance at www.tmsgiftoflights.com.
To access the display entrance gate, turn off Highway 114 in front of the speedway onto Labonte Lane and then take a left onto Lone Star Circle in front of the Lone Star condominium building.
