TMS AND 105.3 THE FAN TEAM UP TO SUPPORT "GUNS AND HOSES"
On Tuesday, April 7th, 105.3 The Fan and Texas Motor Speedway will team up to promote an all-day event supporting Guns and Hoses of North Texas. For every Duck Commander 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series ticket sold from 5:30 a.m.-7 p.m. CT that day, Texas Motor Speedway will donate 24 percent of the ticket sales to Guns and Hoses to support the organization whose core purpose is to show respect and gratitude for police officers and firefighters lost in the line of duty.
The event day will consist of 105.3 The Fan broadcasting three live shows from three DFW Metroplex fire stations. Additionally, Texas Motor Speedway will join The Fan on location to support the broadcasts with a variety of elements. Below are the details of the locations and elements onsite.
The Fan’s Morning Show – New School with Shan and R.J. - will be broadcasting live from 5:30 a.m.-10 a.m. from the Garland Central Fire Station, which is the home to Guns & Hoses, located at 1019 Austin Street in Garland. The G-Bag Nation Show will then be broadcasting from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. from 510 West Main Street in Grand Prairie. To finish out the day, the Ben & Skin Show will broadcast from 3-7 p.m. from 455 Keller Smithfield Road South in Keller.
Throughout each show’s live broadcast, the on-air talent will encourage listeners to purchase Duck Commander 500 tickets for that Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race under the lights at www.texasmotorspeedway.com/gunsandhoses. For every ticket sold, Texas Motor Speedway will donate 24 percent of the proceeds to the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas. This percentage was determined in tribute to four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon’s pending retirement following the 2015 race season. In support of this all day event, Gordon will call in to the morning show.
Texas Motor Speedway will provide each show an hourly update on the number of tickets sold so that the dollar amount being donated can be promoted on-air.
