The latest news and information from Texas Motor Speedway...

Have you looked at the calendar lately? The summer’s flown by nearly as fast as 40 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series rides flying out of Turn 4 at Texas toward the start-finish line.

1,730 cars competed in the six-week “run what ya brung” drag racing event, a new record in the 11th season of Friday Night Drags.

Due to their dominance, five divisions are holding coronation ceremonies this week with another simply needing its driver to pass technical inspection to take the title.

Christopher Bell, Cole Custer, and Tyler Reddick have put on show in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2019. Each was on the Cup Series radar before the season started, and none of them have done anything to hurt their prospects at the next level.

With just one week left to make their mark, the top competitors at Universal Technical Institute Friday Night Drags clearly knew they needed to be on their “A” game Friday night, and they did just that.
