Driving Directions

Directions from Fort Worth

Preferred Route

Take Interstate 35W north from Fort Worth. Exit on SH 114 and turn under the overpass to the speedway.

Alternate Route

Take Interstate 35W to U.S. 287 North. Left on U.S. 287 to FM 156. Right on FM 156 to SH 114. Right on SH 114 to the speedway.

Driving Directions from Dallas

There are a variety of routes from Dallas to Texas Motor Speedway. However, because of the volume of traffic associated with most major races at the facility, here is our preferred route:

West from Dallas on SH 114. At the junction of I35W and SH 114 continue straight under the bridge and then turn right to the speedway.

Driving Directions from Denton

Preferred Route

Take Interstate 35W south from Denton, exit right on SH 114. Alt.- Take U.S. 380 west from Denton, turn left on FM 156 south to SH 114. Left on SH 114 to the speedway.

Attending the Races

Yes, however it must measure no larger than 14" X 14" X 14" and contain no glass. Only one cooler per ticket holder in the grandstands. Seating at some events may not allow coolers in the stands.

You may bring alcoholic beverages into the grandstand areas, but not on suite level, Victory Lane Club or in the Village of Champions. NO GLASS IS ALLOWED.

Give yourself enough travel time, as well as additional time to stroll about the display areas set up around the speedway.

Take into consideration the number of people attending the event. Obviously, the more people and cars the longer it will take you to get home. Also, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF THE PARKING ATTENDANTS, which will aid in getting everyone home quicker.

You can use your cell phone at the speedway, but keep in mind that access declines as the number of people attending an event increases. Do not rely on your cell phone if you need to relay or receive important information.

Texas Motor Speedway provides no check cashing services.

Yes. ATM locations vary by event.

You can purchase pit passes for selected events by calling the ticket office at (817) 215-8500.

All individuals with a VIP pit pass must be at least 18 years of age or older to access the pits. A pre-race pit pass will allow minors into the pits on main race day only. The dress code varies for each event, please CLICK HERE to see the guidelines. For more information, please click here for more information on Pit Passes.

Download the Texas Motor Speedway Mobile App from the App Store or the Google Play store for driver appearances and autograph sessions taking place around the Metroplex prior to the race. Please keep in mind that on race day, drivers, like all athletes, are concentrating on the task ahead and are rarely available.

Scanners are available to rent at merchandise stands located throughout the speedway grounds during race weekend or can be reserved ahead of time at a discount by calling (817)-215-8500.

The speedway does not have a reserved area for motorcycle parking.

No. You cannot fly or operate any unmanned aircraft, remote control plane, or anything like this on property. If you see anyone operating or attempting to operate anything like this, please notify security, the police or TMS staff.

Fan Assistance

Tickets can be picked up at the speedway’s main ticket office at all times. During event weeks tickets purchased through Texas Motor Speedway directly can be picked up either at the Main Ticket Office or Gate 5 when the gates are open. Thursdays of race week – Gate 4 only is open for Ticket Sales, Will Call, Pit Pass Redemption. To better serve our customers, we are directing Will Call pickup & Pit Pass Redemption to Gate 5 and any ticket voucher redemption to Gate 3. There will be appropriate signage. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster, either online or over the phone, can be picked up at the Main Ticket Office or any staffed Ticket Booth. TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY OUTSIDE WILL CALL AT ANY LOCATION.

Credentials can be picked up at the Credential Office, which is located between the main ticket office and the dirt track. Credentials must be reserved in advance by sending a written request to: Texas Motor Speedway Credentials, P.O. Box 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76101-2500.

Fans can catch a ride on the Trackside Trams on event days to get to designated areas on Texas Motor Speedway property. There are two different tram routes. Click here for a Tram Map. The Green Route services the WinStar World Casino Lone Star Circle and Victory Circle Reserved Campground, Family Campground and Unreserved Camping. The Yellow route services the rest of the speedway including VIP Camping, 7-Eleven Trackside, the dirt track parking lot and more. Look for the  signs at the specified stops which indicate a Trackside Tram pick-up location.

There are golf carts marked Track Shuttles that run during major race weekends that give fans a ride anywhere on speedway property. The carts are white and have blue top canopies. This is a FREE ride for all of our fans. Fan Stop Locations are outside of Gates 3, 5 & 6, on the infield at the South Paddock Parking entrance and in the parking lot at the Credentials building.

Yes! Texas Motor Speedway has a mobile application available for smart phones in the Android Marketplace or the iTunes App Store. In cooperation with the Fort Worth Fire Department Emergency Management team, fans can access the latest in local emergency notifications at no cost with Nixle.

Messaging charges and data rates may apply for notifications through Nixle. Check with your provider for details.  The Nixle program is available only to those over the age of 16.  Full information on Nixle is available at www.NIXLE.com including expanded and upgraded programs.

The Nixle system provides instant emergency messages at the fan's choice, over a cell phone by text message, e-mail and on the web.  These notices, in addition to the Fort Worth siren warning system, provide valuable tools for the safety of Texas Motor Speedway fans.

The Raceway Ministries at Texas Motor Speedway (RMTMS) sites are located (1) outside Turn 3 in the Lone Star Circle Camping area on Row Q, (2) outside Victory Circle, just north of Petty Place in Area 5 Camping, and (3) just inside Victory Circle on the far east end of Texas Motor Speedway property, in the Family Camping area. Information Table – Raceway Ministries at Texas Motor Speedway offers volunteers each race weekend to help those who need assistance in locating entry gates, showers, restrooms, concession areas, merchandise locations, local gas stations, hardware & grocery stores and more.

Professional Counselors/Chaplains - Licensed counselors, chaplains and pastors available for crisis intervention, domestic disturbance, depression, etc. Available to all fans through direct contact or through Speedway Security.

Speedway Facilities

You bet! From time to time, TMS will make opportunities available for the public to drive around the speedway in their private vehicles as a fund raiser for Speedway Children’s Charities. If you are interested in even more speed a list of driving schools that participate at TMS is located here.

Texas Motor Speedway seeks to provide reasonable accommodations for all qualified individuals with disabilities. Please contact the speedway ticket office at (817) 215-8500 in a timely manner to arrange for appropriate accommodations and seating.

Handicap Parking spaces exist on the front rows of the Express Lot, Crystal Lot Speedway Club, VIP/PSL Lot and the backstretch Dirt Track parking lot. These spaces, like most public parking areas, are for Handicap Individuals ONLY and are available on a first-come, first served basis.

Access to these areas requires a Certified Handicap Placard that is displayed prominently on the vehicle for inspection, and must be assigned to one of the occupants of the vehicle being parked.

Vehicles desiring access to the Express Lot, Crystal Lot and Speedway Club Handicap parking spaces must have the appropriate credential for entry into these areas. VIP/PSL and Dirt Track parking areas will accommodate general Handicap Parking needs when lots have been opened for public access.

Once all marked spaces have been filled, Handicap Patrons will be allowed to park anywhere within the VIP/PSL parking area in space available. Police personnel assigned to monitor marked Handicap parking areas will be issuing City Citations to those found in violation.

Concessions

A variety of foods such as nachos, hamburgers and hot dogs are available at concession stands located around the speedway as well as the Hawg Heaven line of bacon-flavored food.

Official Texas Motor Speedway souvenirs as well as drivers’ souvenir stands can be found at the speedway during event time.

Beer and wine are available to purchase in the grandstand concourse during major race weekends. Texas Motor Speedway also continues its "fan friendly" policy of permitting fans to bring their own coolers with alcoholic beverages into the facility for major racing events.

Tickets

Track Rules

Bags, backpacks, fanny packs etc. are allowed, but are subject to inspection by security officials and can be no larger than 14” X 14” X 14”.

Binoculars, scanners and cameras are allowed inside the Speedway. Strollers, umbrellas, skate boards, scooters or roller blades are not allowed in the grandstands.

You are not permitted to bring the following items on Texas Motor Speedway property:

  • Weapons, firearms or fireworks
  • Illegal substances or items restricted by local, state and federal laws

All items brought through the gate areas are subject to inspection by security officials. Items may not be left in or around the gate areas if they are not allowed inside.

Guests are encouraged to arrive at the gates early to avoid traffic and to expedite entrance into the Speedway.

The resale of Texas Motor Speedway admission tickets is strictly prohibited on the premises, which includes grounds and surrounding parking areas.

Smoking is not permitted in any grandstand at Texas Motor Speedway. Smoking is permitted in the concourse area.
