NEW SCHEDULE FOR 2019 FINALIZED AS TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY GETS READY TO OPEN SEASON TICKETS ON SEPTEMBER 12

With last week’s announcement that the Verizon IndyCar Series will be returning to Texas Motor Speedway through at least the 2022 season, the racing schedule for 2019 is officially set.

And that means it’s almost time to lock up your season tickets, which will go on sale beginning Wednesday, Sept. 12.

While Texas Motor Speedway thrilled to host three big weekends of racing – that’s 10 major event days of action – there’s a couple changes to the calendar of which we’d like to make our fans aware.

The biggest change comes in March, as the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series moves from the fall to the spring. Instead of two races on the 1.5-mile oval, it will now be a tripleheader weekend of racing with the Gander Outdoor Truck Series JAG Metals 350 (Friday, March 29), the NASCAR Xfinity Series My Bariatric Solutions 300 (Saturday, March 30) and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 (Sunday, March 31).

The NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series will return again in June as part of a doubleheader weekend of racing with the Verizon IndyCar Series. The Gander Outdoor Trucks Series Rattlesnake 400 will drop the green flag on Friday night (June 7), while “America’s Original Nighttime IndyCar Race,” the DXC Technology 600, will take place the following night (June 8).

While the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series won’t be returning to TMS next fall, the November race weekend is now one of the most diverse on the calendar. On top of NASCAR Xfinity Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff races, Tony Stewart’s two-night sprint car event – held at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track – will move from the spring to the fall.

The Tony Stewart Presents Texas Sprint Car Nationals will be held Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2, following that afternoon’s Xfinity Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 Playoff race. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series AAA Texas 500 Playoff race on Sunday, Nov. 3, will cap off an intense weekend and season of racing at Texas Motor Speedway.
