FORMER NASCAR/INDYCAR STAR GORDON THRILLS GOSSAGE WITH STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS RIDE
FORT WORTH, Texas (June 7, 2017) – Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage always has been a thrill seeker, and former NASCAR and INDYCAR star Robby Gordon added another experience Wednesday to that extensive list.
Gordon took Gossage on an exhilarating two-seater ride in a SPEED Energy Stadium Super Truck that included a high-flying jump on the newly built layout at Texas Motor Speedway. The series will be an exciting new addition to this weekend’s Rainguard Water Sealers 600 NASCAR/INDYCAR weekend and transforming it into a diverse motorsports tripleheader. Click here to take a look at Gossage’s wild ride from GoPro footage inside and outside the cockpit and post-ride comments from him and Gordon.
The Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks will have a unique layout in the infield that features multiple jumps - including a huge, dirt-built, under-over showcase jump – as well as racing on dirt and the asphalt of pit lane and a portion of the frontstretch in front of the grandstands.
The series, featuring drivers such as Paul Morris, Sheldon Creed, Matt Brabham and Arie Luyendyk Jr., will have an opening practice session 11:45-12:15 p.m. Friday and a pair of races Saturday. There will be a stage race from 5-5:30 p.m. and then the championship race that will begin 30 minutes following the checkered flag for the Rainguard Water Sealers 600.
During those two days from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., the Texas Off-Road Ruckus expo and interactive activities for enthusiasts of jeeps, trucks, Utility Terrain Vehicles, buggies and performance will be taking place in the infield inside of Turn 2. The Stadium Super Trucks and Texas Off-Road Ruckus are free to any ticket holders for Friday’s winstaronlinegaming.com 400 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race day or Saturday’s Rainguard Water Sealers 400.
