JAKE OWEN'S HIT SINGLE REACHES NUMBER ONE IN ADVANCE OF CONCERT AT TMS

FORT WORTH, Texas (September 14, 2016) - Texas Motor Speedway will host more than just NASCAR superstars during the AAA Texas 500 on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Jake Owen, one of country music's most popular artists following this summer's wildly successful debut of his fifth studio albumAmerican Love, is set to headline the Loud & Proud Pre-Race Show Fueled by American Ethanol prior to the start of the AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Owen's popular single "American Country Love Song" on his hit album American Love has reached No. 1 on the country music charts in advance of his performance at Texas Motor Speedway. It's the latest in a long list of accolades this summer following the release of his new album, which has been certified gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

American Love debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and began at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in July. The rankings are the highest for a debut of his career on the all-genre chart.

Owen's hit single, "American Country Love Song," will be one of the many fan-favorite songs he performs during the Loud & Proud Pre-Race Show Fueled by American Ethanol beginning at 11 a.m. CT on race day. His performance leads up to the start of the AAA Texas 500 at 1 p.m. (TV: NBC, Radio: PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR channel, 95.9 The Ranch locally).

The Loud & Proud Pre-Race Show Fueled by American Ethanol is free to all AAA Texas 500 ticketholders, but fans looking to get a stage-side view can purchase a pre-race mosh pit pass for $79. The pass includes access to the infield for the concert and Sprint Cup Series driver introductions. A ticket to the AAA Texas 500 must accompany all pre-race passes.

The music will continue following the conclusion of the AAA Texas 500 with Red Dirt/Texas Country group Jason Boland & The Stragglers performing at the Portacool Post-Race Show. The group will put on a free concert on the frontstretch stage approximately 30 minutes after the finish of the race.

The AAA Texas 500 is part of a NASCAR tripleheader weekend at Texas Motor Speedway that also features the Camping World Truck Series Longhorn 350 on Friday, Nov. 4, and the XFINITY Series O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge on Saturday, Nov. 5. All three races are part of the Round of 8 for the exciting, elimination-style Chase championship playoff format in their respective series.
