- Next-Generation Hawg Heaven Concession Item Features An American Favorite With A Tex-Mex Twist
FORT WORTH, Texas (June 7, 2016) - Texas Motor Speedway and Levy Restaurants are giving race fans an American favorite a new Tex-Mex twist – the Hawg Heaven Ranchero Dawg – at this weekend’s Firestone 600 INDYCAR/NASCAR doubleheader.
The Hawg Heaven Ranchero Dawg is the next generation of the highly successful, bacon-infused Hawg Heaven line and is sure to entice all race fans to check out the latest creation by Levy Restaurants Executive Chef Lincoln Engstrom.
This oversized sandwich features:
- Quarter-pound Kobe beef dog on a poppy seed bun topped with ”˜Charro’ beans studded with bacon and chorizo
- A crisp, thick slice of bacon
- Smoked cheddar cheese
- Bacon crema
The Hawg Heaven Ranchero Dawg ($10) makes its debut at this weekend's NASCAR/INDYCAR doubleheader that features the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rattlesnake 400 on Friday, June 10, and the Verizon IndyCar Series Firestone 600 on Saturday, June 11. The specialty concession item only will be available at the concession stand on the concourse inside the Gate 4 main grandstand entrance.
"Our fans have grown to love our Hawg Heaven line of concession items and this one is sure to be a hit,” Engstrom said. “We have taken something everyone loves and turned it into a great bacon-infused treat that should go perfectly with summertime races.”
The Hawg Heaven concession line began in 2013 with Hawg Heaven Bacon Cotton Candy and has featured the Shake 'n Bacon Brew bacon-infused beer milkshake, Bacon Nachos, Queso Wings, Double Barrel Dawg, the Final Rocky Road-eo ice cream sundae honoring Jeff Gordon's final season in 2015 and the BBQ Melt at April’s NASCAR race.
