TMS CELEBRATES #TBT WITH PHOTO TRIBUTE TO JEFF GORDON
- Speedway Featuring 24-Image Gallery In Both Still Photography And PicDrift As Gordon Prepares For Final TMS Start In Next Week's AAA Texas 500
FORT WORTH, Texas (October 29, 2015) - Texas Motor Speedway is utilizing "Throwback Thursday" to showcase the career of retiring NASCAR icon Jeff Gordon at the venerable motorsports venue with the release of a photo gallery in anticipation of his final TMS start coming in next Sunday's AAA Texas 500 Sprint Cup Series race.
>Texas Motor Speedway is featuring 24 photos - in honor of his number - of his career at Texas Motor Speedway that stretches back to the first race at the facility in 1997 and beyond. Every race year from 1997 to 2015 is represented among the two dozen images that range from Gordon taking part in the speedway ground-breaking ceremony in 1995 to his lone TMS victory in 2009.
The speedway also is releasing these images through a process that animates the still photos and brings them to life through PicDrift. Through camera moves and puppet movement, the same still photos suddenly have movement ranging from Gordon's car driving on track to him shaking hands with then-Texas Governor George W. Bush. This gallery of animated images is available in MP4 and Quicktime video formats. To access the 24 still photos, click here.
Texas Motor Speedway also will honor Gordon next week for #TBT with a 24-second video that is a compilation of his career at the speedway.
