FORT WORTH, Texas (November 19, 2015) – Jimmie Johnson may have walked away with the Charlie 1 Horse cowboy hat and iconic hat trophy following his recent victory in the AAA Texas 500, but the biggest winner of the day at Texas Motor Speedway may have been Vernon Holloway, of Arlington, Texas.
The AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, broadcast this past Sunday on NBC, earned the highest Nielsen Rating among the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup races broadcast to date.
Six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson’s name already is etched among the greats of NASCAR, but his victory in Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway put him in some elite company.
Erik Jones has followed in the footsteps of protégé and truck series team owner Kyle Busch when it comes to rewriting the record books at Texas Motor Speedway.
