AAA Texas 500

News Releases

FORT WORTH, Texas (October 13, 2015) – Bárbara Padilla, the Mexican-American classical crossover soprano whose career blossomed after finishing runner-up on the fourth season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” has been invited to sing the National Anthem for the AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Texas Motor Speedway.
Landon Nolty, a seven-year-old from Aledo, and Luke Wade, a Dublin, Texas native who was a former contestant on NBC’s The Voice, will perform the National Anthem for two of the NASCAR races during the AAA Texas 500 tripleheader set for Nov. 5-8 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Texas Motor Speedway will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2016 by continuing to hold the distinction as the only motorsports venue that has hosted all three top-tier NASCAR Series and the Verizon IndyCar Series since its inception.
The following is a statement from Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage regarding Wednesday’s announcement by three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart that he plans to retire from competition at the conclusion of the 2016 season. Stewart plans to remain active in NASCAR as a co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing.
The Chase for the Sprint Cup has started much like the tail end of the regular season as Joe Gibbs Racing is establishing a dominant presence once again.
