FORT WORTH, Texas (October 31, 2014) – Richard Childress Racing driver Austin Dillon owned the fastest lap during Friday’s final NASCAR Nationwide Series practice for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.
Dillon (No. 33 Grainger Chevrolet) recorded a top lap of 185.516 miles per hour among the 49 he ran during the 90-minute practice session. Logano (No. 22 Discount Tire Ford) was second at 184.212 mph and Trevor Bayne (No. 6 AdvoCare Ford) third at 183.611 mph.
Prosper’s Chris Buescher (No. 60 Bit O Honey Ford), a rookie with Roush Fenway Racing who was fastest in the opening practice, was 10th in this session at 181.757 mph.
The Nationwide Series returns to the track Saturday beginning at 11:10 a.m. CT for Pinnacle Propane Qualifying Days to set the field for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge. The 200-lap, 300-mile O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge will follow at 2:30 p.m. and be broadcast live on ESPN rather than originally scheduled ESPN2. The race also will be broadcast live on radio – PRN nationally and KRLD-FM 105.3 FM The Fan locally.
