FORT WORTH, Texas (June 5, 2014) – Two-time Texas Motor Speedway NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner Johnny Sauter posted the fastest lap in Thursday’s opening practice for the WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Sauter (No. 98 Nextant/Curb Records Toyota) had a top lap of 177.247 miles per hour among the 24 trucks that went out in the one-hour practice session. Darrell Wallace (No. 54 ToyotaCare Toyota) was second at 176.980 mph and defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Matt Crafton (No. 88 Slim Jim/Menards Toyota) was third at 176.939 mph.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to the track at 6:30 p.m. CT for their final 90-minute practice session.
On Friday, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will compete in NTT DATA Qualifying Day beginning at 4:10 p.m. and then the WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 (167 laps/250.5 miles) at 8 p.m.
