FORT WORTH, Texas (June 5, 2014) – German Quiroga posted the fastest lap in Thursday’s final practice for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Quiroga (No. 77 Net 10 Wireless Toyota) had a top lap of 176.476 miles per hour as Toyota-powered trucks owned six of the seven fastest laps in the final 90-minute practice session. Ryan Blaney (No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford) was the only non-Toyota among that group, running the second-fastest lap at 175.798 mph.
Blaney was followed by defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Matt Crafton (No. 88 Slim Jim/Menards Toyota) at 175.747 mph, Johnny Sauter (No. 98 Nextant/Curb Records Toyota) at 175.490 mph and Darrell Wallace (No. 54 ToyotaCare Toyota) at 174.616 mph.
Sauter’s lap of 177.247 mph in the first practice session remained the best among both sessions combined.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to the track 4:10 p.m. CT Friday for NTT DATA Qualifying Day followed by the WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 (167 laps/250.5 miles) at 8 p.m.
