FORT WORTH, Texas (April 3, 2014) – Rookie Ty Dillon stayed on top through the final practice session Thursday for the NASCAR Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300.
Dillon (No. 3 WESCO Chevrolet) ran a top lap of 180.361 miles per hour (29.940 seconds) among his 44 laps during the rain-shortened practice session. Dillon was followed by current Nationwide Series points leader Regan Smith (No. 7 TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet) who ran a fastest lap of 179.850 miles per hour (30.025 seconds).
The Nationwide Series returns to the track tomorrow for SportsDay Qualifying Day powered by The Dallas Morning News for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at 3:10 p.m. CT.
