I posted a blog earlier that most of hit home for NASCAR. I called out Mr. I Was Handed NASCAR and Have Flushed Toilet. And I called out his henchmen who like to tell drivers and hour before a race starts to not race and not give these people a show that they paid for with there hard earn money. But anyways, It has been deleted. I must of forgot NASCAR doesn't agree with free speech.

I just want Mr. Pretty Boy France to know that this is exactly why you don't see fans in the stands. This is why all the old school fans are leaving this sport. It's not JR cant win, it's not cause Johnson is about to win 4 titles in a row, and it's not cause the COT. It's because you got away from your fans. Im talking Bubba-Fan.

You guys took out Winston, took out Busch beer, and took away the points system that nobody understood and you did it cause this new era of fans were coming in and didn't know the history of our sport. Well, now Bubba-Fan, who doesn't like change, doesn't like being PC, and doesn't like the direction you Brian France has taken this sport. You guys give us hour long pre-race shows that we don't want. You give us knee-jerk rule changes that don't need to be made, and you give us 12 drivers over the last ten races that nobody cares about.

If you went to a NASCAR before the chase it was about more than points, it was about more than top 5s or top 10s. It was about winning and putting on the best show possible for the fans who spend money to see there favorite drivers like Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Davey Allison. You could go to the last race of the year and it would be sold out because fans didn't care about titles, they cared about seeing there favorite driver do battle. But know you go to a race in the final 10 of the year and if your favorite isn't racing for a driver, you don't care that he is in the show, you don't care to talk about him you don't care about anybody else except you 12 main guys.  And why is it any driver that says something bad about NASCAR, you wanna talk to them about it to clarify what they meant? Are you that stupid that you cant look around and see empty seats at places that never had em before you took 43 drivers out of the field and made it 12. I just wanna know why you got away from Bubba-Fan and started listening to this new fan base that changed everything.

I do wanna say I am happy they are listening to the fans this year and gave us double file restarts and made the time change for next year. But I think it might be too little, too late. Go back to putting on a show not a sport. Go back to making every race mean something to everybody and not just 12 guys the last ten. Go back to your fan base that knows the difference between loose and tight. GO BACK TO BUBBA-FAN.

First I would like to say thank you for your service in our military.

I am sorry you are so negative about Nascar. We have been talking about this for a while on here and I for one will still watch the sport that I love. I do care about the top 12 as well as my favorite who is not even close. There are a lot of bad decisions in Nascar but there are also some good ones. You see empty seats and do you not think about our economy could be one reason some are empty. Most teams including the bigger ones are having troubles keeping sponsorship because of our economy. True some have been turned off by the same ones winning, to be the best, you have to beat the best. Simple but true.

I personally like the prerace shows, helps me keep up with the latest.

Good luck on your blogs on the other websites.

Go Horns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Economy plays a little bit but a BIG portion of it has to with what Mr. France is doing. I noted the few changes he made this year that I liked and Im not against NASCAR. Im just against France. Bruton Smith would sell this stuff better than him. I read that changes will be coming up in 2011 to the COT and Im curious to see what that is and Im also curious to see the new Busch series car race and If the changes they make will reflect more of that car.

All and all, 13 years ago when I started watching, Jeff Gordon was winning 10 races a year and the title every other year and fans kept coming. But when you make wholesale knee-jerk changes like France makes, it kills momentum. If it aint broke, dont fix it. I think Brian needs a little more redneck in him like his daddy and grand daddy. This sport was found by moonshiners, lets not forget that.

And a side note, Longhorns suck.

Enjoy the race this weekend, I am missing my 1st since 1998. Think I might cry a little bit but my dad is taking mom on Saturday for her 1st race and he will be by his self on Sunday. Go Junior!!!

Maybe the reason they kicked your blog off is the negativity. We all know Nascar has it's problems but either you love the sport or you don't. Sounds to me like you should take a break from Nascar for a while. France is not the only one making the changes. He as a whole field of ppl helping him make those decisions.

I understand the sport was founded on moonshiners. What does that have to do with today. Nothing

You are lieing to yourself if you think the economy has a "little" effect on this. Has a huge impact on it, us regulars on this board have talked about it numerous times and debated that issue. When major drivers like Kenseth loses sponsors of 10 years something tells me economy.

Yeah, Longhorn suck alright, No 3 and undefeated. Must be a Sooner fan.

We will enjoy it. will be there all week meeting friends and loving Nascar for not for them we would not even be going to a race this weekend. Good luck on you quest.

I agree with Renee, I am a newbie Nascar fan, I love my driver rather he is 40th in points or #1 in points. I watch the top twelve, but always have an eye on the Smoke. I love Nascar and everything about it, there are some things I wish they would change, but I believe it will happen.I love my track president, Eddie, He has doen alot for his race fans. Please don;t put me in your di satifisied catagory!!!! Most my TMS family on here, I believe feel the same way. Thank you for voicing your opinion, everyone has one and has the right to voice it. Sorry you are misisng your first race.

I find it interesting that this young man - who has been watching NASCAR for all of 13 years - is talking of the days of Richard Petty and Davey Allison, and Dale Earnhardt Sr.

The only one you MAY have ever seen race would be DE Sr - so what do you really know about NASCAR and the OLD days.   I have been going to races since 1984 - and I am probably a "newbie" to some people.

You are entitled to your opinion - but don't start quoting and talking about how things were done "back in the day" - because you can only base it on what you have read, or been told by television announcers, or picked up in other forums.  You aren't OLD enough to be quoting what it was like in the OLD DAYS.

Has NASCAR changed?  Absolutely - EVERYTHING changes.

You are in Okinawa - am I to assume you are in the military?  And quite possibly, in the Marines - as they have a huge presence in Okinawa.   It is no different than the old timers - talking about the "OLD CORPS" vs. the "NEW CORPS" - and how things have changed and ruined "THE CORPS".  The Marine Corps of today is much different than the one I retired from 12 years ago.  But it is still MY CORPS.

NASCAR is much different than it was 13 years ago - but it is still MY NASCAR.  It is not perfect - but I support it - I live it - I love it.

Like It, Love it, or hate it... It is what it is..

We Keep Watching..And we keep GOING..Just got to Roll with the changes..

I dont like the chase system..I prefer the old pts system, where consistancy all year long makes the champion..Rather than the last 10 races..But doesnt Keep me from loving the sport..Nascar cant make EVERYONE happy..just have to learn to accept the changes..

Not sure what happened there. was supposed to be a Yes.

Anyhow, I would like to applaud you on voiceing your opinion. We all have that right. I was just meaning most on here would not agree with you because they are huge (look Ike, I spelled it right) fans of Nascar. We know it has problems but beating a dead horse won't solve it. We have had our problems on this board and have resovled to be positive for the most part here. I know I am not speaking for all but am for some. Not trying to step on toes.

Tom is right about the "old days" If you read far enough back you will see they had problems too. Like when the big names protested Dega for being too dangerous. Big France got all the Arca racers and the lower class racers to fill the field to make sure and put on a show. Imagine where we would be if he had not done that. I truly believe they try to do the right thing, sometimes it works, sometime it does not.

We feel ya Jason, just realize a little less ranting and a little more positve goes a long way.. Just my thoughts and opinions. Thanks

well said tom, are u an english teacher?  lol, i'm sure there are some things in nascar that not everyone agrees with, hence the phrase different strokes for different folks, not everyone is going to agree on everything, at least we still have freedom of speech (kinda)

and jason, come on man saying texas longhorns suck was uncalled for  lmao whats that got to do with nascar, sounded like a personal attack to me. if u don't like what joey said, say i don't like what u said, not the longhorns suck, come on ur better than that.

I BLEED NASCAR !!!
