Does anyone know about the tower in the infield.  I have won tickets for Friday and Saturday and can trade them in to watch the race from the tower.  I guess I have never noticed a tower.  Does anyone here know where this is?

Gosh, I camp in the infield and I dont know of ANY tower at all!  There isnt anything tall enough to BE a tower..The only thing I can think of is the building in the Pit area, thats across from the media center..Its kind of tall.

Are You sure they said IN the infield...the only "Tower" thing I know of is the Lone Star Club Tower, and that is not in the infield.

Thanks Lori.  yes the letter says the tower in the infield.  I am guessing it may be the one you are talking about across from the media center  since this is a media event put on by KSCS.  It came with actual tickets in the stands that you have to exchange for a voucher to enter the tower.   Just wondered if I want to go sit in the stands or in the tower and hoped someone here would know what this was

Where are your seats located in the stands, if you are in a "tower" you may only be able to see the frontstreach.  Also, i think it is more of a rush to actually hear the roaring sounds and smell the rubber, lol.  Usually they line the cars up on the frontstreach for prerace and start them there.  This gives you a great opportunity to get some up close pictures of the cars, drivers and crews....Automobile

I prefer the outside also I have done the suites before and they are nice but do like the sounds smells etc...  my seats for friday are pu414  row 57 seat 7 and 8 sat pl135 row 12 seat 3 and 4.  I purchased my sunday tickets we sit on the back stretch purchased the first day they went on sale so i could get row 12.  I have sat on the 2nd row before and was miserable the entire race way to close to even see who was going by and much to loud.  My ears vibrated all 300 plus laps and for 3 days after that. lol row 12 is nice back there can see most of the track.  Only wish they would put a scoring tower closer to the backstretch.  I have to use binaculars to see and since they put the burnout alley in they no longer have scanner rental places you have to go to the front to pick up and drop off.  Much easier to get in and out of the track on sunday back there.  Don't matter I still love going to the races.

someone must be watching.  If you have not been to the KSCS blowout they do give away lots of tickets.  I usually go every year to try to win my friday and saturday tickets.  This is the first time they have done it in the noon hour.  It is usually 7a to 9a  KSCS has been very good to me over the years.  I have a 10 year old that loves to go with me to the races and I just cant seem to justiy that much money for him so i purchase our Sunday tickets and if i can win some he gets to go all weekend.  Sadly he wont be able to do this one with me since you have to be 21 for the tower.  That ok though I have taken him on some really nice trips to the races and have even had to pass on getting to the pits because he is not old enough (somehow I think they would frown on me leaving him with a stranger or by himself (of course I never would).  Anyhow long story short If you still want tickets you really should make the lunch blow out by 96.3 KSCS
