Dale Earnhardt Jr. is NASCAR’s most recognizable driver and has won the sport’s most popular driver award 10 consecutive years. He enters his 15th full season of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition and his sixth with Hendrick Motorsports as the driver of the No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew/National Guard Chevrolet. In his previous 14 seasons, he has earned 19 victories, including the 2004 Daytona 500, and 11 poles. He is coming off a 2012 season where he made the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup field and finished 12th in the championship. His best championship finish was third in 2003 while at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Earnhardt Jr. also is a two-time NASCAR Nationwide Series champion (1998-99) and co-owner of JR Motorsports that field entries in the Nationwide Series.
