Veteran driver Joe Nemechek is in his 24th season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driving the No. 87 NEMCO Motorsports Toyota. Nemechek won the 1992 Nationwide Series championship, edging out defending champion Bobby Labonte by three points. It set the mark for the closest championship battle in series history. He earned rookie of the year honors in 1990.
