Simon Pagenaud

Simon Pagenaud enters his IZOD IndyCar Series sophomore season in 2013 driving the No. 77 HP Motorsports Honda for Schmidt Hamilton HP Motorsports. Pagenaud ran the full schedule in 2012 while claiming four podiums, including a second place finish at Long Beach. He also has Indy-car experience from the Champ Car World Series in 2007, where he drove for Team Australia and finished eighth in the series championship. Pagenaud is a former Champ Car Atlantic champion (2006) as well as an American Le Mans Series champ (2010).

I enjoy this track so much because it honestly drives more like a road course than an oval ... It's all about finding the right balance here to have a strong car. It will be good to be up front tomorrow on race day because passing here is difficult with tire wear. It's a challenge to set this car up for the race, and it's going to be very important to have strong in and out laps.
