JR Hildebrand enters the 2013 season driving the No. 4 National Guard Chevrolet for Panther Racing. His career-best finish entering the season was second at the 2011 Indianapolis 500, where he leading the race heading into the final turn before hitting the outside wall and enabling Dan Wheldon to pass him for the victory. The California native was a national merit scholar in high school but passed on an opportunity to attend the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology to pursue a career in Motorsports.
