Ed Carpenter

Ed Carpenter enters his third season as the only owner/driver in the IZOD IndyCar Series, driving the No. 20 Fuzzy’s Vodka Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter Racing. He christened the ownership of his own team in 2011 by capturing the first win of his IZOD IndyCar Series career at Kentucky. Carpenter, an Indianapolis native, enters his ninth full season in the series with a top finish of 12th in the 2009 IZOD IndyCar Series championship standings.

This is a good start ... I want to make sure we keep the team focused. I hope this is part one of a really magical month, and we’re here for race day. This is awesome and it’s bigger than our wins and it’s huge for the team. It’s definitely a landmark day, but I don’t want to get overly focused on this because we have a lot of work to do yet.
