Alex Tagliani

Alex Tagliani enters his fourth full season in the IZOD IndyCar Series and third with Sam Schmidt Motorsports as the driver of the No. 98 Barracuda Racing Honda. He is coming off a season where he finished 17th in the series championship, but was highlighted by capturing the pole at the Firestone 550. The Canadian is an Indy-car veteran with eight full seasons in the CART/Champ Car series. His lone career Indy-car win came while in that series, winning at Road America in 2004. He moved over to the IZOD IndyCar Series in 2008-09 with Conquest Racing and then ran a full season with FAZZT Race Team in 2010 before joining Sam Schmidt Motorsports.

The Barracuda Racing car was blisteringly fast ... The team worked so hard this weekend and we definitely would’ve finished near the front of the field. I’m just really disappointed because I’ve had problems with Kimball for three years now. I’m a patient guy but this is just unacceptable.
