• The T's Victory Lane Express Will Be Available To Race Fans For Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series Race And Sunday's Sprint Cup Series Race

FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 1, 2012) - Traffic flow patterns for this week's AAA Texas 500 NASCAR tripleheader at Texas Motor Speedway will not be affected by the DFW Connector or Highway 114 construction projects as TxDOT will be shutting down or limiting any that require lane closures during race weekend.

Traffic will be extremely light on Thursday inbound and outbound from Texas Motor Speedway with only NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice scheduled before on-track activity and traffic flow increase for the weekend.

TxDOT is scheduled to halt the Highway 114 Project in front and near the speedway property for the duration of the race week. The DFW Connector Project will continue work in areas including SH 114 from Main Street to William D. Tate, but will not have any full highway closures during this period and officials are planning to accommodate speedway event traffic flow at certain time periods.

Following Friday evening's WinStar World Casino 350 Camping World Truck Series race, the Fort Worth Police Department's Traffic Division will implement contraflow traffic lanes around the motorsports facility for outbound traffic flowing eastbound in front of the speedway. The WinStar World Casino 350 begins at 7 p.m. and should conclude between 9-9:30 p.m.

For Saturday's O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge NASCAR Nationwide race, the FWPD will have contraflow traffic lanes to move traffic inbound and outbound. For inbound, SH 114 will contraflow westbound in front of the speedway. For outbound, SH 114 will contraflow eastbound in front of the speedway and FM Highway 156 will contraflow southbound from Petty Place on speedway property to 114. The O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge begins at 6:30 p.m. CT and should conclude between 8:30 and 9 p.m.

For Sunday's AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, FWPD also will conduct contraflow for both inbound and outbound race traffic. The inbound contraflow will focus specifically in and around the speedway property and entrance points.

For outbound traffic, the contraflow will extend from the speedway to Highway 114/Roanoke/Litsey Road for those traveling east. The contraflow also will extend south on Highway 156 to Eagle Parkway/Alliance Corridor. The AAA Texas 500 begins at 2 p.m. and should conclude between 5:30-6 p.m.

For those fans who would like to avoid driving, the T's Victory Lane Express will be available to race fans for Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race and Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race.

The express bus service, which is $10 cash per person for the round-trip fare, will depart from the Tarrant County College Northwest Campus from 1-3 p.m. Saturday for the NNS O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge and from 8-10 a.m. Sunday for the NSCS AAA Texas 500. Victory Lane Express riders may park free of charge in the North Parking Lot at the TCC Northwest Campus, 4801 Marine Creek Parkway.

Passengers will be dropped off and picked up in the Speedway's bus parking area located just off SH 114 and Allison Ave on the south side of the Speedway. Texas Motor Speedway provides the Victory Lane Express priority into and out of the Speedway from a location close to the access onto I-35. Busses will return from Texas Motor Speedway beginning 30 minutes after the race ends, with the last bus leaving the Speedway 90 minutes after the race.
