FORT WORTH, Texas (September 12, 2012) – Texas Motor Speedway, in collaboration with website developer Daylife, has launched the newest fan-friendly integration into texasmotorspeedway.com
. This new fan-engagement tool – the first time ever implemented by a speedway – will provide fans with the latest news, photos, video clips and quotes from their favorite drivers across the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series, Camping World Truck Series and the IZOD IndyCar Series.
These new features can be found on the redesigned homepage for Texas Motor Speedway. The homepage features rotators across the top of the screen, including one designated to the new element that features the most current news in those series. Through this slide, fans can click “more driver info” to access a database of pages for every driver. Every driver’s page will feature their most recent coverage, including stories, video clips, photos and popular quotes. Each page updates every 15 minutes to ensure fans that they are staying on top of their favorite drivers.
In an effort to become even more engaged with fans, TMS will be stepping up its new online capabilities by providing a page solely dedicated to interaction around the AAA Texas 500 NASCAR tripleheader weekend set for Nov. 1-4. Fans will be able to visit its website to catch up with the latest news surrounding the race weekend as well as share photos through Instagram with other race fans. Fans can have their photos posted on the site through the use of their personal Instagram accounts using hashtags #AAATexas500 and #WildAsphaltCircus.
“We’re excited to be the first track to implement this new fan-engagement tool,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “Developing new means to better serve our fans continues to be a priority for Texas Motor Speedway.”
This new tool utilizes hundreds of news sources to bring the most up-to-date coverage on the sport and its drivers. Additionally, Texas Motor Speedway Fan Club members will have the option of their monthly newsletters tailored with more information about their favorite driver through this new resource as well.
