FORT WORTH, Texas (Sept. 12, 2012) – Texas Motor Speedway is adding a unique benefit to the 5k portion of its “No Limits” Half Marathon event benefitting Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter on Saturday, Oct. 27, as every one of those participants completing the run will receive a finisher medal.
The 5k finisher medals will be smaller in size (1.5 inches in diameter) than the half marathon finishers, but will be similar in look. The medal will be in antique silver and feature the speedway’s new ring of fire logo with the wording, “No Limits Wild Asphalt Run.” The ribbon lanyard will be purple with the wording, “No Limits 5k Finisher,” and the Speedway Motorsports, Inc. globe in orange.
The overall male and female youth winners for the 5k will earn the larger major category “No Limits” Wild Asphalt Run champion’s medals.
The entry fee for the 5k currently is $30 through Oct. 25 and $35 on race day. There also is separate pricing for corporate, open teams and school teams for the 5k. For more information or to sign up for the event, please visit www.nolimitsrun.com.
