FORT Worth, Texas (November 5, 2011) – Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch has been parked by NASCAR for the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge and Sprint Cup Series AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway for his actions in Friday night’s Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 350, NASCAR President Mike Helton announced Saturday morning in a news conference at the speedway.
Busch intentionally wrecked Ron Hornaday Jr. under caution during the WinStar World Casino 350, leading to NASCAR parking him for the remainder of that race and today’s sanctions. Busch is expected to be replaced by Denny Hamlin in the No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota for today’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge and Michael McDowell in the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota for Sunday’s AAA Texas 500.
Busch qualified second in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge and 17th in the AAA Texas 500, but his replacement drivers will start at the rear of the field as a result of the driver changes.
Tickets for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge and AAA Texas 500 are available by calling (817) 215-8500 or by visiting www.texasmotorspeedway.com
