  • Drivers Provided Incentive To Pre-Register By Friday, Sept. 2
  • Online Registration Available Through PayPal

FORT WORTH, Texas (July 5, 2011) – Texas Motor Speedway is preparing for its Sept. 15-17 U.S. National Dirt Track Championship and drivers can now pre-register for the premier event which features Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and O’Reilly Auto Parts SUPR Late Models.

The U.S. National Dirt Track Championship, one of the largest dirt track events in the nation, is projected to have approximately 300 entries. The event is the second of two dirt track weekends that Texas Motor Speedway hosts annually.

Drivers are encouraged to pre-register for the weekend and Texas Motor Speedway officials have put an incentive on doing so for this event. Modified and Limited Modified competitors that meet the Sept. 2 pre-entry deadline will have a distinct advantage over those who choose not to pre-register. For drivers that fail to qualify for the feature races, two provisional spots will be added to the rear of the field for each race and they will be randomly selected from the pool of pre-registered competitors.

By clicking www.darinshort.com/dtc.html, all competing race teams can take advantage of online registration. A link is provided for each race division to pre-register their team, purchase advance two-day pit passes, reserve a paved pit space and sign up for practice night.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal. Multiple purchases are allowed on the registration section within the same transaction. A PayPal membership is not required to use this service.

Drivers also can register by calling the Lone Star Legends office at (817) 255-6000.

The action gets under way with practice Thursday, Sept. 15, and is followed by qualifying and heats for the Modified and Limited Modifieds on Friday, Sept. 16. The weekend concludes with the main events for the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and O’Reilly Auto Parts SUPR Late Models on Saturday, Sept. 17. For registration and a complete schedule, visit www.texasmotorspeedway.com.

Grandstand tickets will be available a month prior to the event, while tickets will be sold at the gate for $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday. Parking is free. All season-ticket holders will receive $5 off at the gate with their season-ticketholder ID.
