FORT WORTH, Texas (November 6, 2009) – Matt Kenseth (No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford) won his second NASCAR Nationwide Series pole position at Texas Motor Speedway with a lap of 187.201 miles per hour during Friday’s 7-Eleven Qualifying Day for the O’Reilly Challenge.

Kenseth, whose previous pole came in the 2001 Jani-King 300, moves into a tie for most career Nationwide Series poles at Texas Motor Speedway, tying the mark held by Kyle Busch and Jeff Green. The pole was Kenseth’s second of the season and 16th of his career.

Roush Fenway Racing swept the front row for the O’Reilly Challenge as David Ragan (No. 6 Discount Tire Ford) will start beside Kenseth following his lap of 186.548 mph.

Braun Racing also pulled off a team sweep as the duo of Jason Leffler (No. 38 Great Clips Toyota) and Kasey Kahne (No. 10 Great Clips Toyota) qualified on the second row. Leffler will start third with a lap of 186.008 mph and Kahne fourth at 185.925 mph.

Kevin Harvick (No. 33 Jimmy John’s Chevrolet), who owns a track-record four Nationwide Series victories, closed out the top five qualifiers with a lap of 185.669 mph.

Kenseth will be pursuing his third career Nationwide Series win at Texas Motor Speedway when the 43-car field takes the green flag for the O’Reilly Challenge at Noon CT.
