Texas Motor Speedway and Happy Hill Farm will host the 2009 Flowserve Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame Gala on Wednesday, April 1 in the Grand Ballroom of the Speedway Club.

The event will induct new members into the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame as well as present the Bruton Smith Legends Award, Texas Motor Speedway Racer of the Year and Texas Motor Speedway Sportsmanship Award.

The inductees and award recipients will be announced later next week.

The Flowserve Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame ceremony benefits Happy Hill Farm Academy in association with Speedway Children’s Charities. The 500-acre working farm located just south of Granbury, Texas, provides specialized services for children who need another start in life. Happy Hill Farm Academy serves children with a broad range of behavioral and academic issues sometimes a result of abuse and neglect. The environment provided at Happy Hill Farm Academy allows residents to flourish in a non-traditional setting.
