Samsung 500 Weekend
April 2 - 5, 2009
The Samsung 500 Weekend features both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series at Texas Motor Speedway. Festivities begin on Thursday, April 2 with The Dallas Morning News Qualifying Day for the Nationwide Series followed by the event exclusively for season ticket holders, Aaron’s Fandango. Sprint Cup Series stars hit the track on Friday, April 3 for The Dallas Morning News Qualifying Day and the racing heats up as Nationwide Series drivers compete in the O’Reilly 300 on Saturday. The weekend culminates on Sunday with the Samsung 500 – the seventh race of the 36-event season and the first of two Cup races at TMS. Bombardier Learjet 550k Weekend
June 4 - 6, 2009
Texas Motor Speedway’s June event, the Bombardier Learjet 550k Weekend, consists of Indy Racing League IndyCar Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition. The Camping World Truck Series kicks off the weekend with qualifying on Thursday, June 4. Friday’s activities include Firestone Qualifying for the IRL IndyCar Series, followed by the WinStar World Casino 400 – the first of two stops for the Camping World Truck Series at TMS. The weekend concludes with “America’s Original Nighttime IndyCar Race,” the Bombardier Learjet 550k, which will mark the 20th IndyCar Series race at TMS. Dickies 500 Weekend

NASCAR racing returns in November for a triple header weekend at Texas Motor Speedway which leads up to the eighth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Dickies 500. The weekend kicks off with 7-Eleven Qualifying for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on Thursday, Nov. 5. The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series 7-Eleven Qualifying takes place on Friday, Nov. 6 as well as the action-packed Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 350k. The weekend continues with the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Challenge on Saturday and the Dickies 500 on Sunday - one of the most pivotal races in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Dirt Track Events
The Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track is a .4-mile clay oval with six degree banking on the straightaways and nine degrees in the turns. The 11,004-seat dirt track features amenities such as private suites and a tunnel to the infield for competitors. The dirt track hosts a wide array of events throughout the year including the Texas World Dirt Track Championship annually in February or March.
